A visionary partnership between an engineer and an artist, Xaquixe is a Oaxacan glassblowing workshop and a pioneer in bringing sustainable solutions to every step of their process. Every piece is made of recycled glassware collected from local village communities, reborn as beautiful new glass pieces and art installations. Recycled cooking oil is recovered from local restaurants to power their combustion ovens and equipment. The heat generated from one part of the process is funneled to another for maximum energy efficiency. Innovation is at the heart of every creation.
